Mechanical Draughtsman

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software based on engineering inputs.
• Develop coordinated layouts for water treatment plants, including piping, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Interpret and incorporate design changes, redlines, and markups from engineers.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local codes.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and process teams to ensure clash-free designs.
• Maintain drawing documentation and revision control.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation for project handover.
• Support site teams with drawing clarifications and updates as needed.

Qualifications:

• Graduation in Mechanical or Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering field.
• Above 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman in the water treatment sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and P&ID; knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, or BIM tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of pumping stations and MEP systems in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ASME, NFPA, IEC).
• Experience with 3D modeling and clash detection.
• Knowledge of P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
