Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

Coating Inspection:
- Perform inspection of coating and corrosion protection systems on pipelines, equipment, and structures.
- Ensure all coating activities comply with Aramco standards and specifications.
- Review coating system specifications and recommend the correct materials and application methods.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):
- Verify that all coating materials used meet quality standards.
- Inspect surface preparation (e.g., blasting or sanding) and ensure it meets required standards.
- Perform thickness checks, adhesion testing, and other quality control measures on coated surfaces.
- Monitor and verify application techniques to ensure uniformity and consistency.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain proper records of inspection findings.
- Ensure that all non-conformances are reported and corrective actions are taken.
- Prepare final reports for submission to management or regulatory bodies.

Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., construction, maintenance) to ensure timely execution of coating activities.
- Communicate any issues or deviations from the specifications to the project team and take corrective actions.

Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner, adhering to Aramco's safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments related to coating work.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Typically 5+ years of experience in coating inspection or a related field.
- Specific experience in the oil and gas industry, especially in the inspection of coatings for pipelines, tanks, or offshore structures, is preferred.
- Certification:
- Aramco-approved Coating Inspector Certification (or equivalent, e.g., NACE, SSPC).
- Certified Coating Inspector (e.g., NACE Level 1 or 2, SSPC Protective Coating Specialist).
- Education:
- A degree in engineering or a technical discipline related to coating or corrosion (preferred but not always required).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of various coating types (epoxy, polyurethane, etc.) and surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Familiarity with inspection tools (e.g., dry film thickness gauges, adhesion testers).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in teams.
Working Environment:
- Fieldwork, especially on construction sites or offshore locations.
- Frequent travel may be required, depending on the project.

- Knowledge and adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards, with a strong commitment to safe working practices.
