Qualifications
- The teacher should have valid teaching credential qualifications established by the Ministry of Education and he should have at least a BA or more in the subject that he teaches.
Job Function and Responsibilities:
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
- assume responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of students and help students solve health, attitude, and learning problems. .
- use relevant technology to support instructions as ClassEra and use it in a useful way.
- regard the approved curricula (American Curriculum), taking into consideration the Saudi culture.
- teach in class groups of students or individually after school for all grades in high thinking skills levels or on SAT courses.
- participate in the school’s policies, rules and regulations.
- prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
- build a working relationship with parents in regard to student’s capabilities, problems or difficulties.
- help in selecting books and instructional aids; maintains required inventory records and participates in recommending books for the library or students.
- attend training courses, presentations and scheduled meetings with Principal to ensure quality in performance and to document all lesson plans and attend all parent / teacher conferences whenever asked.
- carry out a share of managerial duties in accordance with normal school schedules
- share in morning broadcast, morning lines, supervision, different trips, events, and celebrations and perform clerical duties instructional supplies equipment, student reports, and records, attendance reports, and other assignments made by the principal.
- collaborate with other teachers, staff, students and parents to support student progress.
Specific Job Description:
- An English teacher instructs students about the correct usage of the English language.
- The job of an English teacher requires a deep understanding of sentence structure, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and literature.
- It encompasses teaching creative composition such as prose, poetry, short stories, narratives and also technical writing skills which include news articles, reports, journals, and essays.
- An English teacher should develop a student’s oral and written communication skills, including critical thinking, oral and written comprehension, and problem solving skills.
- English teachers encourage learning the English language in a fun and easy environment, especially to non-native English students.

- To play a full part in the life of the school to support its culture and philosophy and to encourage all students and staff to follow this example.
Pastoral Responsibilities
- To check and support the general progress and development of students within the teaching group.
- To check student attendance in lessons and guarantee that follow-up procedures are put in place
Communication
- To have a link with other schools, higher education, industry, local community groups etc.
- To contribute to the delivery of English link activities.
Management Information
- To make use of analysis and evaluation of student data and should maintain accurate and complete records of student’ progress and development and finally produce reports for assessing the students.
Disciplinary action and school Regulations:
- Disciplinary action will be taken in regard to frequent absences, inability to perform professional duties as designated in the above job description.
- The employee must abide by the working hours, a minimum of 8 hours a day, 6 days a week set by the educational administration to no more than the minimum.
- The employee pledges to perform his duty, uphold the School’s status within the demands of the System, maintain its reputation, and conforms to the requirements of Saudi culture and traditions.
- The employee must maintain the ethical and moral conduct worthy of an educational career.
- The employee admits not to work elsewhere during the contract’s time.
Salary, internal transport and travel , accommodations , and medical insurance :
- The employee’s monthly “Gross” salary shall be paid at the end of each working month. in addition to the social insurance. The amount of Salary paid upon termination / release of responsibilities is dependent on the number of days worked in the pay period.
- The school provides a suitable accommodation according to the school Regulation for the teacher / employee and his family. The school will provide the medical insurance for the teacher only (80-20) without the least responsibility for the members of his family and the employee bears the full responsibility for any issued actions form any side whatsoever regarding his companions.
- The final financial reward will be accounted only when the employee stayed three years in the school without any intervals.
- The annual rise in salary is calculated based on the annual evaluation, which is issued by the end of the year , and its amount depends on the amount of work and its quality from 5 to 10 %
