Job Description - Assist with installation, start up, qualification, and troubleshooting activities. Work with other departments to improve equipment functionality, tThe Automation Supervisor is a core team member of the Tech Services team that supports Production team  through maintenance activities in Naqua Shrimp/Fish Processing Plant .

Roles and responsibilities

• Lead automation engineering staff assuring compliance, equipment uptime, and development of staff
• Responsible for maintenance (planned and unplanned) for equipment supporting manufacturing
• Assist with installation, start up, qualification, and troubleshooting activities..
• Work with other departments to improve equipment functionality, throughput, and uptime of equipment
• Interfaces with Operations personnel on issue resolution
• Educate Operations personnel on proper operation and care of equipment
• Performing all tasks while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), /WI manufactures literature, and safety policies. Amend existing SOP’s aligning with best practices
• Interface with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and associated process instrumentation.
• To train engineers/ workshop technicians in building systems and correct setting of parts
• To gather relevant technical information from other departments and problem solve discrepancies
• Be responsible for automation stock check and stock take system ,Liaise with purchasing department & management on stock control
• Manage the day-to-day activities, goal setting, performance management, and development of the team
• Manage team budget, including travel and expense reporting, as well as operational cost of the Automation projects
• Responsible for preparing budget estimates, ensuring adequate PO creation through approval and recruiting additional resources as necessary;
• Ensure proper management of electrical/automation documents (manuals, diagrams, instrument data sheet, software packages/licenses) through efficient filing and archiving procedures.
