Job Description:

Senior Planner / Scheduler, experienced in the construction of Cross-Country Pipelines

 

 He shall have minimum 5-10 years of experience in Planning of Design, Procurement, construction, Pre-Commissioning, and
Commissioning of hydrocarbon facilities, Pipeline, Piping, Plant Process Equipment’s installation, structural, associated Civil, E
& I and Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Handover activities.
 He shall be fully familiar with and aware of international codes and Standards.
 Initiate, prepare, and develop Project Baseline Schedule in Primavera P6 according to Contractual scope of work, standards,
contract specifications and accepted project management practices.
 Coordinate with the project manager, Department Managers, Site Manager, Construction manager, site engineers, job
estimators, engineers of various disciplines etc. to acquire proper data and specifications for the schedule.
 Analyze drawings, specifications, and method of statements of works for the preparation of activity
networks/scheduling/resources planning and allocation.
 Develop major milestone activities and establish a well-defined work, link of sequence and successor of activities a breakdown
structure, which includes all the scope of work.
 Establish the schedule based on key dates, milestone dates, scope of works, resource loading etc.as specified in the contract.
 Assign duration, resources (Manpower, Materials, and equipment) and budgeted cost for each activity based on their weight
factor and quantity/volume of work and identify long lead items required in the project.
 Coordinate schedule from multiple sub-contractors/Vendors and incorporate the information gathered into the overall project
master schedule.
 Prepare Progress Measurement Sheet, S-curves, Manpower & Equipment Histograms, Quantity Histograms as per the
Schedule.
 Develop database for engineering deliverables, procurement deliverables and construction activities for
monitoring/analyzing/tracking progress.
 Review, analyze and refine sequence and logic of tasks/activities and highlight any critical activity needs particular attention.
 Track, monitor and forecast progress of all activities and deliverables such as products, engineering documents, fabrication
status and construction of all discipline.
 Follow-Up with subcontractor/site team to monitor project progress and make reports.
 Monitoring, Updating and analysis of progress right from the field.
 Collect data and other pertinent information of project progress and update schedule.
 Prepare reports with updating Progress measurement sheet, S-curves, and Histograms, I.e., Daily, weekly, and monthly reports
as required by management and client.
 Evaluate dates to completion and project delay, if any, periodically by updating actual progress data.
 Maintain Project delays log in comparison with the latest approved Schedule from Client.
 Support project management in accomplishing project status review and performance control.
 Attending project progress status review meeting with client, vendors, and sub-contractors.
 Prepare reports about activities to be prioritized for site supervisors/Engineers.
 Record and assess the effects of project schedule changes.
 Assess actual progress versus planned progress to determine trends and variances.
 Analyze schedule trends, determining risks, developing options for corrective action and after schedule to meet unforeseen
conditions.
 Prepare cash flow charts/tables.
 Estimate and forecast quantity of works and costs/amount of works.
 Prepare progress invoices/bills to client.
 Review and verify the progress invoices/bills of subcontractors and vendors.
