Technician -Refrigeration

Job Description:

Position - Technician -Refrigeration

Location - Saudi Arabia

Experience - 5+ years

1.      Perform installation, alteration of refrigeration systems and related equipment/facilities

2.      Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical and electrical equipment.               Identification of operational engineering and mechanical constraints and providing strategies to optimize equipment while managing constraints.

3.      Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

4.      Provide technical support and plant leadership for Ammonia refrigeration equipment troubleshooting and modifications

5.      Develop and maintain a good working relationship with Team Leader, peers, team members, other leaders and managers, and corporate partners.

6.      Perform both uptime and down time preventative maintenance in adherence to the master PM schedule

7.      Perform corrective maintenance work orders

8.      Perform daily rounds/checks of Ammonia system

9.      Troubleshoot, maintain and repair manufacturing and Ammonia refrigeration equipment or systems

10.   Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives in order to increase platform performance

11.   Assist with training new employees as needed Attend meetings and trainings as required

12.   Keeps full and up to date records of all equipment to ensure traceability.

13.   Maintains a clean and organized work area that promotes safety and efficiency

14.   Resolves problems and conflicts in an acceptable manner that shows respect for the other person(s).

15.   Learn, follow, and be engaged in Process Safety Management (PSM)

16.   To immediately report affairs of necessary breakdown of machineries or problem among the staff to the Manager,

17.   Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends

18.   Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment

19.   Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment

20.   Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces

21.   Reporting and documenting the daily activities in the section with the direct manager.

MANDATORY (Minimum Qualification) OR PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

Education

Two-year associate degree in mechanical or HVAC/Industrial Refrigeration

Knowledge

Knowledge of operating and troubleshooting ammonia refrigeration systems

Knowledge of ammonia safety regulations

Ability to read and interpret ammonia piping diagrams.

Ability to work in a team environment

Basic Skills & Competencies

Ability to work independently.

Good communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Experience

5 years’ experience in Industrial Refrigeration, Ammonia Plants, Overhauling of compressors , Maintenance etc.

Technical Skills

Understanding of Health and Safety regulations

Ability to read technical manuals and understand technical drawings.

Good communication skills

Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems
