Job Description
The candidate is responsible for managing ClearQuest and ClearCase applications. Candidate should be responsible for managing ClearQuest infrastructure and ClearCase infrastructure. Candidate should be well versed with Multisite concepts and should able to keep the ClearCase sites in sync. Candidate should be thorough in both base ClearCase and UCM ClearCase concepts. Candidate should be good in ClearQuest schema design, writing hooks in Perl and schema deployments. Candidate should take up Engineering incident tickets related to ClearQuest and ClearCase.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain ClearCase version control environment including developer tools
- Rational ClearCase planning and administration, license server, registry server, VOB & View servers, and release areas. VOB & views administration. Troubleshooting ClearCase, VOB & View operations
- Administering Rational ClearCase Multisite. Troubleshooting Multisite operations
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, backup, restore and tune ClearCase and ClearQuest
- Remote service monitoring and troubleshooting
- Find manual steps and inefficiencies and improve them through automation
- Work with global teams to co-ordinate implementation activities
- Provide training and support to engineering teams during implementation and thereafter.
- Responsible for all aspects of ClearCase , ClearQuest & multisite environment including all administration, support, upgrades & migration activities.
- Resolving and troubleshooting issues, such as installation, workspace management, builds, access, performance monitoring and all-around tool usability Document work procedures, hold mentoring sessions and attend weekly calls to provide detailed status reports for ongoing opened issues.
- Work remotely with users on a 1:1 basis
- Support ClearCase interfaces with other ALM Applications.
- Guide ClearCase support team
- 5+ years of overall experience in the software domain & 2+ years in ClearCase and ClearQuest.
