Position Name: Application Engineer

Notice: Immediate-30 days

Experience: 3-5 years 

Job Summary

Prepare and complete technical evaluations in line with the ATEX requirements i.e., considering the certification, content tables and sizing etc. of enquires.

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Recognizing and meeting the required deadlines. 
• Turn project specifications into "Weidmuller language" 
• Complete cost calculation spreadsheets and calculating quotation prices as required. 
• Use AutoCAD to determine enclosure /terminal/entry possibilities as and when required in line with the assembly manual. 
• Check lead-time status for items on box/assembly quotations in conjunction with supply chain. 
• Obtain best possible pricing by research /knowledge /negotiation. 
• Develop pricing summaries and fulfil other various ad-hoc requests to assist commercial Managers decisions making. 
• Preparing the quotation. 
• Highlighting technical deviations /concessions on offer in line with the assembly manuals. 
• Preparing job packs for production of products. 
• Following solutions process. 
• Updating and entering actions in the relevant system. 
• Prepare commercial evaluations from project enquires: 
• Review customer's terms and conditions of purchase and relate them to the Weidmuller language, making note of any commercial deviations seeking advice as and when required. Raise and / or complete any documentation requirements for the tendering process. Co-ordinate all communications between customer, relevant WL staff and sub-supplier Ensure timely delivery of assembly tender bids.
