Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Design, build and implement infrastructures for enterprise application
  2. Creating high level architectural design of products systems.
  3. Set up monitoring, configuration management, administration operation practices
  4. Planning large migrations and executing it
  5. Developing monitoring systems management practices to maximize uptime
  6. Develop/ Adopt new efficient strategies to minimize manual/ repetitive work, operational costs, deployment times, response times etc.
  7. Troubleshooting escalated / complex systems / network issues
  8. Good understanding of statistic
  9. Capacity and availability planning
  10. Training and managing teams
  11. Plan team to-do's/ goals, product upgrades/ releases.
  12. Evaluate software/ hardware products (free/ commercial) as per needs.
  13. Demonstrate POC for new Server technologies for improvement in Server and Security
  14. Prepare present proposals with respect to systems/ software infrastructure
  15. Performing DR Drill and ensure Service Continuity
  16. Audit IT infrastructure and publish monthly health report
  17. Maintain Data Integrity and access control
  18. Research build specifications for new products tools
  19. Acting as liaisons between junior systems administrators, application administrators and software developers
  20. High level log analysis, performance reports, trend analysis.
  21. Quick in decision making and execution.
  22. Assist operations teams in daily operations when required
  23. Assist developers in architectural and design problems

 

Skills and Experience

 

  1. 7+ years of experience in designing, deploying, supporting and maintaining Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 and Linux (All Flavours) environments at an enterprise level
  2. 2+ years of supervisory experience of managing team size of 25+ people
  3. 1+ years of Experience on Microsoft Azure / AWS Infrastructure services
  4. Managing full server operating System & Application Lifecycle, Provisioning, Automation and Security
  5. Solid understanding and operational experience with Active Directory, DNS, Web Server, File Server, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare, Backup solutions
  6. Should have experience in configure One-Drive / enterprise cloud drive for data storage
  7. In-depth knowledge of Apache web server and related modules like PHP, mod security, Tomcat, SSL etc.
  8. Ability to setup and maintain High Availability Clusters and Load Balanced environment.
  9. In depth knowledge about Load balancing High Availability.
  10. Firewalls (Iptables, BSD packet filter, other commercial etc).
  11. Understanding of Root kits, IDS, Firewall concepts.
  12. In-depth Knowledge of MRTG, Nagios, selinux.
  13. Knowledge of MySQL, databases in-depth fine-tuning procedures advanced troubleshooting.
  14. Good knowledge of SQL Databases (relational and non-relational, the ability to think in sets and graphs, performance tuning).
  15. Knowledge about RAID LVM.
  16. Deep understanding of file systems and recovery techniques.
  17. Knowledge of replicated network file systems like NFS, DRBD.
  18. Knowledge of LDAP Active Directory.
  19. Scalability (Partitioning, Coupling, Caching etc) capacity planning concepts.
  20. Should apply Networking principles: TCP/IP, Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Load Balancers, VPNs
  21. Monitor system logs (logs, IDS/IPS/ Content Filter, Backup Jobs, etc.)
  22. Basic knowledge of mail server technologies (Exchange Server, Office365, Gmail)
  23. Scripting for administration and automation

 

Generic roles and responsibilites

 

  1. Log all issues / customer requests and resolutions
  2. Perform root cause analysis for escalated issues and provide resolution
  3. Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well as maintenance
  4. Provides on-call high priority 24/7 technical support as necessary
  5. Continuously monitor the SLA and ensure the incidents are handled within timeline
  6. Ensure CMDB and all IT digital assets are real-time updated
  7. Contribute on building digital assets (knowledge base, technical documentation, manuals and IT policies)
  8. Adhere to compliance and governance standards and report any non-compliances to the manager
  9. Participate & contribute in IT team meetings
  10. Provide methodological assistance to client / peers
  11. Follow timely delegation / escalation procedure
  12. Follow ITIL standard practices for incident, change and problem management
  13. Outstanding analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  14. Stay updated with technology updates
  15. Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  16. Foster professional relationship with all colleagues by listening, understanding and responding to their needs
  17. Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

 

  1. Master’s degree (any)
  2. Microsoft Certified Solution Associate: Windows Server 2016
  3. MCSA: Windows Server 2016 /
  4. Red Hat Certified System Administrator
  5. Cisco Certified Network Administrator / Juniper Networks Certification Program
  6. ITIL certification
