Procurement Officer
Job Description:
osition Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our
Mumbai office. This role will be responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier
coordination required to support our offshore and pipeline coating projects. The ideal candidate will
combine strong negotiation and organizational skills with the ability to work closely with project and
technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating suppliers to issuing purchase
orders and maintaining supplier relationships.
Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery
schedules.
Experience in coordinating with freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics partners for both
local and international shipments.
Knowledge of Incoterms, import/export documentation, and international trade compliance.
- Ability to analyze supplier performance, resolve delivery or quality issues, and implement
corrective actions.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); prior experience with ERP systems is a
strong advantage.
Skilled in maintaining accurate procurement records, contracts, and price agreements to support
audits and reporting.
- Work closely with project, technical, and operations teams to align procurement with
specifications and schedules.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced
environment.
Sound understanding of procurement processes in oil & gas, offshore, EPC, or heavy industry
sectors.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of procurement experience, ideally in oil & gas, offshore, EPC, or heavy industry.
Strong knowledge of sourcing, vendor development, and procurement processes.
Proficiency in MS Office; prior experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments.
