Position: Garage Technician

Location: Mwanza, Tanzania 

Experience: 2–6 years in vehicle maintenance, repair, or automotive workshops

Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering

Role Overview

The Garage Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine maintenance, managing repair documentation, and providing clear communication to clients regarding vehicle conditions and service recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Perform repairs or replace faulty components such as brake pads, sensors, and engine parts.
• Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Explain vehicle problems, repair recommendations, and service updates to clients clearly and professionally.
• Ensure the workshop is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Key Requirements

• Education:Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• Experience:Minimum 2–6 years in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair tasks efficiently.
• Good communication skills for client interaction and reporting.
• Understanding of safety practices and workshop housekeeping.
