Job Title: Senior Manager – Audit

Experience: 5+ Years 

Location: Manama, Bahrain

Notice Period: Within 30 days

 

Role Overview:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Audit Manager to lead and manage audits for clients in the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA/CPA/ACCA, with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm. The role demands strong expertise in insurance audits, client handling, team management, and delivering high-quality assurance services in line with international audit standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage external audit assignmentsfor insurance and financial services clients.
  • Plan and execute audit strategies, risk assessments, and audit procedures in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory frameworks.
  • Review financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with Bahrain’s CBB regulations and insurance sector norms.
  • Manage audit teams, assign work, review outputs, and ensure timely completion of engagements.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular interactions, issue resolution, and value-added recommendations.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with internal quality assurance processes and documentation standards.
  • Monitor the progress of multiple engagements and handle workload prioritization.
  • Mentor and train junior audit staff and assist with performance evaluations.
  • Stay up to date on insurance accounting standards, regulatory updates, and audit methodologies.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified CA / CPA / ACCAwith 5+ years of post-qualification experience
  • Big 4or top-tier audit firm background (mandatory)
  • Strong experience in insurance auditsand regulatory compliance (IFRS, CBB regulations)
  • Proven leadership in managing audit teams and client relationships
  • Candidates currently in Bahrainpreferred
