Job Title: Senior Manager – Audit (Insurance Sector)

Location: Manama, Bahrain
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Audit & Assurance
Reporting To: Audit Director / Head of Audit
Industry: Financial Services / Insurance / Consulting
Salary: BHD 1,000 to 1,500 (All-inclusive)
Notice Period: 4 to 6 Weeks
Nationality: Open (Candidates currently in Bahrain preferred)


Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Audit Manager to lead and manage audits for clients in the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA/CPA/ACCA, with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm. The role demands strong expertise in insurance audits, client handling, team management, and delivering high-quality assurance services in line with international audit standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage external audit assignments for insurance and financial services clients.

  • Plan and execute audit strategies, risk assessments, and audit procedures in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory frameworks.

  • Review financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with Bahrain’s CBB regulations and insurance sector norms.

  • Manage audit teams, assign work, review outputs, and ensure timely completion of engagements.

  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular interactions, issue resolution, and value-added recommendations.

  • Oversee and ensure compliance with internal quality assurance processes and documentation standards.

  • Monitor the progress of multiple engagements and handle workload prioritization.

  • Mentor and train junior audit staff and assist with performance evaluations.

  • Stay up to date on insurance accounting standards, regulatory updates, and audit methodologies.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or ACCA qualified.

  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in external audit.

  • Prior experience in a Big 4 or top-tier audit firm is mandatory.

  • Strong experience in the audit of insurance companies is required.

  • Excellent knowledge of IFRSISA, and local financial reporting frameworks.

  • Proficiency in audit tools, MS Excel, and financial analysis.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
