Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Environmental Clearance & Regulatory Compliance
  • Coordinate and obtain Environmental Clearance (EC) from the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA).
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Protection Act, Forest Conservation Act, Water & Air Acts, and EIA Notification (2006 & Amendments).
  • Prepare and submit applications for Forest Clearance (FC), Wildlife Clearance (WC), and CRZ Clearance if required.
  • Conduct liaison with regulatory bodies such as MoEF&CC, CPCB, SPCB, NHAI, and State PWD.
  1. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & EMP Implementation
  • Conduct Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies for highway projects.
  • Prepare Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and ensure on-site implementation.
  • Conduct baseline studies on air quality, water quality, noise levels, soil conditions, and biodiversity.
  • Develop mitigation plans for noise pollution, dust control, water runoff, and ecological protection.
  1. Site Audits, Monitoring & Reporting
  • Conduct regular environmental audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with EMP and EC conditions.
  • Monitor and report ambient air quality, noise levels, and water discharge as per CPCB/SPCB guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit periodic compliance reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure proper waste management and pollution control measures at construction sites.
  1. Liaison & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, government officials, and environmental agencies for approvals and compliance.
  • Assist in public hearings and stakeholder consultations as part of the EIA process.
  • Engage with local communities and address environmental concerns related to the project.
  1. Sustainability & Green Initiatives
  • Promote sustainable construction practices such as rainwater harvesting, afforestation, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Identify and implement energy-efficient and eco-friendly road construction methods.
  • Develop biodiversity conservation strategies for sensitive areas impacted by the project.
