Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and ARAMCO-approved Electrical Inspector to perform inspections, testing, and verification of electrical installations on oil & gas construction projects in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards and international codes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with applicable project specifications, safety guidelines, and quality assurance protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and quality control checks on all electrical works including cable laying, termination, lighting, grounding, panels, and equipment installations.
- Verify compliance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), International Electrical Codes (IEC, NEC), and project specifications.
- Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Material Submittals.
- Conduct pre-inspection with contractors and participate in joint inspections with Aramco personnel.
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure proper corrective actions are taken.
- Maintain comprehensive inspection records and submit regular reports to QA/QC and project management teams.
- Ensure the proper calibration and use of test equipment such as megger, insulation resistance tester, and continuity testers.
- Oversee and document the installation and testing of electrical systems in hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, and client teams to ensure timely execution of inspections.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in electrical inspection, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
- Must be Saudi Aramco-approved as an Electrical Inspector with a valid SAP # or Approval Letter.
- Strong knowledge of SAES, SAMSS, SATIP, SAIC, and international standards (IEC, NEC).
- Familiar with hazardous area classifications and instrumentation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be safety-conscious and capable of working under pressure in multi-cultural environments.
Certifications (Preferred):
- ARAMCO Electrical Inspector Approval (MANDATORY)
- NEC / IEC Code Training
- OSHA or HSE Certification
- Valid Saudi Driving License (preferred)
