Job Title: Safety officer

Job Location: Saudi Arabia

Year of Experience: Minimum 10 years

Salary: 4500 SAR Basic

Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer with a NEBOSH certification and a minimum of 10 years of experience in safety management within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all employees and contractors on site, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management:

Oversee all safety protocols and activities on site to ensure compliance with safety laws, policies, and procedures.

  • Risk Assessment:

Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.

  • Training & Awareness:

Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors. Ensure that all personnel are aware of and follow safety

procedures.

  • Incident Investigation:

Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with national and international safety standards, including OSHA, HSE, and local regulations.

  • Reporting:

Maintain and manage safety records, including incident reports, safety meetings, and training logs. Prepare and submit regular safety performance reports to management.

  • Safety Equipment:

Monitor and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory and ensure proper use on site.

  • Emergency Preparedness:

Develop, implement, and conduct regular drills for emergency response, fire safety, evacuation procedures, and first aid.

  • Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure that safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of project execution and operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certification: NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation techniques.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate safety guidelines and concerns to all levels of staff.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to addressing safety challenges.
  • Certifications & Training: Additional safety-related certifications or training (e.g., First Aid, Fire Safety, etc.) will be an advantage.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in challenging and sometimes hazardous environments.

Additional Information:

  • The position requires extensive fieldwork and site visits.
  • You will be required to monitor safety at all stages of the project and collaborate with different departments to ensure a safe working environment.
